No prior experience is needed. Every kit includes a clear, step-by-step manual written for beginners. If you have never soldered before, we recommend starting with the 3D LED Christmas Tree Kit or the Roulette Kit — both use through-hole components that are forgiving and satisfying to solder.

You will need a soldering iron (temperature-controlled is best), solder wire, and a pair of flush cutters. A helping-hand tool and desoldering braid are also useful. We sell everything you need in our Tools collection.

It depends on your experience and the kit. Beginner kits like the Christmas Tree take around 30–60 minutes. The Ceramic Clock Kit is a longer build, usually 1–2 hours. We include an estimated build time in each product description.
